Dana Mambourg Zimbric, a noted conductor and music educator, has been appointed artistic director of the Golden Valley Music Society and conductor of the California Chamber Orchestra.
In announcing the appointment, Greg Prudhomme, president of the Society, cited Ms. Zimbric's exceptional musicianship and stage presence.
"We couldn't be happier than to have Dana as our new artistic director. Her creative approach to programming our sixth season, her professionalism and her ability to create a winning relationship with the orchestra, the audience and the community make her the perfect choice to be our musical leader."
