As the creek (Murrieta) meanders past the Old Town Temecula Theater on its way to the "Rhine" (the ocean), we use October to celebrate the most beloved composers of Germany and Austria.

From a Strauss polka the ensemble steps on to Schubert's Five German Dances, adding a fun and fancy lilt to these traditional melodies.  The evening whirls to a close with an octet piece written by the then-16-year-old Felix Mendelssohn.

The evening's filled with remarkable intensity, challenging technical passages and soulful phrasing.
